Today I started with my 20 minute art challenge in my (MOCA) sketchbook… day 15 of 20 completed early…
Sketchbook and Journaling (I made it 50 of 365 days) is FUN and these paintings are ones I will keep and pass on to my kids and their kids… AND I can make some of them into ART PRINTS for my ART SHOP via my larger JOURNAL (I call it) sketchbook… My MOCA sketchbook is not actually made for watercolor painting and the pages are a bit wrinkled BUT I love it and will continue to create in it BECAUSE it brought me back to the ART WORLD!!! HAPPINESS… soooo recently I purchased TRUE watercolor paper sketchbooks to add to my collection…
The NEW ONES are smaller and will enable me to take them along with me on Fifi and Francie Adventures… I have NEVER really sat somewhere other than inside or outside of my home to create art—or I should say NOT since my art school days—and I think I would like to give it a try. Not sure hubby will last very long someplace for me to finish a paint BUT a SMALL sketch he could go along with… LOL!
They really are tiny—you can see the difference in the photo showing all of my sketchbooks above. The smallest (beige) is 3.5” x 5.5” and the square (blue) one is 5.5” x 5.5” and the portrait oriented (black) is 4.1” x 5.8” and I can’t wait to try each one… I’m thinking they will be mostly used on both pages opened since they are so small. The smallest could be one page composites because the long wide format could be a challenge or maybe not, but I have never painted a long landscape shaped painting… first time of everything… LOL
STAY TUNED!!!
