A sketchbook is a good place to play with materials… that’s just what I did for this art challenge… PENCIL was my main media. First, I sketched the subject with regular pencil and then I started outlining and filling in with colored pencil… NO ink! I LOVE using ink but sometimes you have to leave your comfort zone… I did use a little watercolor wash for the sky background and water in the containers…

Although I like the result of my mainly colored pencil/no ink art, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my ink outlines… art doesn’t feeling like mine completely without it… BUT fun to learn…
